SelfLube to Feature Its Custom Wear Strips at Plast-Ex 2017

11 May 2017

SelfLube, leading U.S. manufacturer of mold, die and precision components will be participating in this year's Plast-Ex Show as part of the Advanced Design and Manufacturing Expo. SelfLube will be exhibiting at booth: 2147 and will feature its custom capabilities for its bronze and steel wear strips.

SelfLube wear strips are used extensively in the tooling industry and are one of the company’s popular items. "The decision to expand our capabilities is really a convenience thing for our customers. After receiving their wear strips, many of our customers, we learned, would alter them in order to fit in their tools," explains Alan Wierzbicki, SelfLube's Outside Sales Representative. Alan is also the SelfLube Representative for the Toronto region. "To help alleviate any secondary processing we opened up our capabilities." Although certain requirements still may need secondary processing, the company is working hard to make this a small number.

In addition to graphite or grease grooves, either in aluminum bronze or steel, a customer can now specify: cutouts, shape, hole pattern, chamfers, pockets and angle cuts. Examples of these customizations will be displayed along with many other components from SelfLube's product line. Representing the company will be Greg Kirchhoff, SelfLube's Sales Manager.

This year's Plast-Ex Expo will be at the Toronto Congress Center in Toronto, Ontario Canada, May 16-18.
