25 years ago SelfLube was a struggling two-man shop. Now, it is the leading U.S. manufacturer of precision components used in the mold and die industries. Originally it had just a single product, something called a self-lubricating wear plate, which it sold to a handful of local mold and die shops. Now, it boasts a product line consisting of some 10,000 standard part numbers and a customer base of over a thousand shops spanning North America. The Company originally specialized in just self-lubricating components, which is why it adopted the name SelfLube. But, over many years the Company broadened its product line and now the mix of self and conventionally lubricated components is about 50/50.
"The secret to SelfLube's success is our ability to change with the needs of our customers," explains Sales Manager Greg Kirchhoff. Focusing on the needs of its customers is something SelfLube takes very seriously and is one of the reasons SelfLube has added 13,000 square feet to its manufacturing facility in order to bulk up stocked items as well as the ability to supply more custom parts.
To recognize 25 years of success and the hard work from its staff, the Company organized an employee luncheon to commemorate the significant milestone. A great time for staff on the floor to mingle with those in the office.
The company would like to thank its loyal customers in choosing SelfLube as their mold and die components supplier.
